Classic ube latte

The everyday cup: creamy, gently sweet, and vividly purple — and naturally caffeine-free.

Ingredients
  • 2 tsp Wild Yam purple ube powder
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 tsp honey, maple, or sugar (to taste)
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • Pinch of vanilla (optional)
Method
  1. Whisk the ube powder with the hot water into a smooth paste.
  2. Stir in your sweetener and vanilla.
  3. Steam or froth the milk until hot and foamy.
  4. Pour the milk over the paste and stir to combine.
  5. Finish with a light dusting of ube powder.

Tip Oat and whole milk make the creamiest cup.

Iced ube latte

A cool, layered purple pour for warm afternoons.

Ingredients
  • 2 tsp Wild Yam purple ube powder
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1–2 tsp sweetener
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • Ice
Method
  1. Whisk the powder, hot water, and sweetener into a paste; let it cool for a minute.
  2. Fill a glass with ice.
  3. Pour cold milk over the ice.
  4. Add the ube paste and stir — or layer it first for a purple gradient.

Tip Pour the paste in first, then milk, for that café gradient.

Ube cold foam
Topping3 minCold1 drinkEasy

Ube cold foam

The 2026 café favorite — a silky purple foam to crown iced matcha, cold brew, or an iced latte.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold heavy cream (or oat cream)
  • 1 tsp Wild Yam purple ube powder
  • 1–2 tsp sweetened condensed milk or syrup
  • 1 tbsp cold milk (to loosen)
Method
  1. Mix the ube powder with 1 tbsp of the cream into a smooth paste — this prevents lumps.
  2. Add the rest of the cream and the condensed milk.
  3. Froth for 60–75 seconds to soft, pourable peaks.
  4. Spoon or pour gently over your iced drink.

Ube itself is caffeine-free, but a matcha or coffee base is not.
